*An open letter to Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar (AWO), Chairman of PNB*

Dear AWO..

Everyone knows that you have been – and still are – a strong supporter of Najib Razak. All the folks in PNB can testify to this. You have been singing praises of how great this country has been over the past 9 years based on your assessment of his “stellar” leadership, never mind the fact that he is the biggest and most talked about thief on this planet for the past 3 years.

The climax of your idiocy was evidenced by your article titled “Wahid Omar on GST and GE14” that was splashed in the media on 7 May 2018, just 2 days before our GE. In it you stated your unequivocal support for GST.

You said that GST should be retained because if it is abolished and replaced with the reinstatement of SST, the move would be regressive and could endanger the economy. Your justifications were based on theoretical textbook answers rather than realities on the ground.

By voicing your views out loud, you were actually telling the rakyat to not believe in Pakatan Harapan’s plan for our economy that among others, aims to abolish the GST should they come into power. By doing so, you were effectively campaigning on behalf of BN to convince the rakyat not to vote for PH. I’m sorry but the last time I checked, you were not a politician. It would have served you better had you just shut up and not suck-up to Najib.

Perhaps you did this because you were truly in awe of this one hell-of-a thief just like how his other bozo ministers were in awe of him too. You believed – and perhaps still believe – in his stewardship of the country and were in full confidence that Malaysia would prosper with him at the helm. If this was the case, then you are truly a first class idiot.

Nevertheless, you were so cock-sure that BN would win the election and were looking forward to install him as the country’s Emperor for Life on 10 May 2018. As such, you wanted to make yourself relevant to him so that you can continue to ride on his coattails.. all under the disguise of this thing called “National duty” which you like to say whenever you get the chance, with much pride.

The sad part is you did all this without considering the true plight of the rakyat that is worsening with each passing day. You seemed oblivious to this. And you did this by closing your eyes and numbing your senses to the massive plundering and pillaging by this master of yours despite all the orgies happening right in front of your face.

Interestingly on the very next day in Langkawi, Tun Daim retorted at your “brilliant” statement. He said that the country has been doing fine for 57 years without GST.

He then added, “These people (Wahid Omar of PNB and Andrew Sheng of Khazanah) are paid employees of the institutions. They should just stick to PNB and Khazanah, get their salary and leave the economy to the new government to run it as we have far better experts. Wahid and Sheng are trained by International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank. What is important is to plan the economy (well) so that the people would not suffer.”

There you go.. That’s Tun Daim giving you free advice!

I figured that if you wanted to tell the whole world so much about the merits of GST and the wonders that it was supposed to do to our economy, it seemed strange to me that for a person of your intelligence, you did not seem bothered with the main reason why GST had to be implemented in the first place.

Were you not aware of the massive debts that the country has piled up from the 1MDB scandal? Were you also not aware that the main reason why GST had to be collected was to cover the shortfalls in the government’s finances as the result of Najib’s mismanagement of our economy?

If everything is really fine, then why is it that despite the RM42 billion of GST collected in 2017, your master still has to cut back on the country’s expenditures for health, education and many other important sectors? Isn’t all this obvious that GST was not being used for the benefit of the rakyat because someone has dug a massive hole to enrich himself, his wife, that chubby chinese boy from Penang and all the cronies and lackeys around your master who are more than ready to do all the biddings and barkings for him?

What kind of a half-past-six accountant are you if you can’t smell the lies vomited by Najib about 1MDB? Your lack of senses have truly rendered you clueless to the fact that Najib and Jho Low have been robbing from the rakyat in such an unprecedented humongous scale in broad daylight. How did all the evidence and drama twists by the AG, IGP, MACC, etc. escape you?

Or do you until today still think that Najib Razak is innocent from all the allegations that he has been accused of despite the mountains of irrefutable evidence that are being stacked against him?

You have failed miserably AWO. You failed because you are either too dumb to realize that Najib has been stealing and lying right in front of your “supposedly” smart accountant face, or because you know about his crime but decided to look the other way and continue to still support him until today without the moral conscience of a decent Muslim. Either way, you are not fit to occupy the position where you are at now.

If you were Nazri Aziz, Salleh Keruak, Rahman Dahlan, Adnan Mansor (the idiot with the fake Tengku title in front of his name), Azalina Othman, Shahrizat Jalil, Ahmad Maslan, Shahidan Kassim and all the other idiots that I have some trouble remembering their names today, perhaps I wouldn’t be pouring so much scorn on you now because I would have gladly written off any residue of intelligence that you might have.

But you are Abdul Wahid Omar.. the supposedly smart guy. The brilliant guy. The guy who was supposed to be sharp and was always expected to add value to the organizations that he helms. The guy who was once the CEO of UEM, Telekom Malaysia and Maybank before he crossed over to the dark side. I kept asking myself : How on earth did this smart guy suddenly became a real idiot and took sides with evil?

I am angry with you because you have betrayed your own intelligence and the rakyat too of course. Do you not feel any guilt and remorse for knowingly taking sides with the thief who has stolen billions of ringgit from the rakyat and caused hardship to millions of people? Or do you, in all honesty, still believe he is innocent? Tell Malaysia now where do you stand. Both Tun Dr. Mahathir and Najib Razak cannot be right at the same time in this case.

If you still believe Najib is innocent, still believe in his leadership and his management of the economy, then you do not deserve to be sitting in that chair at PNB for even a second longer.

But if you realize that you were wrong, then you should be ready to admit this publicly and pledge your undivided support to the action plans that are being devised by the new government that is being led by Tun Dr. Mahathir. Write about this just like how you did when you defended the implementation of GST on 7 May 2018. Keeping silent would only send a signal that your stand remains unchanged and that you are not remorseful.

Perhaps I should remind Tun Daim of you if you keep your silence too long. And don’t forget too that Datuk Abdul Kadir Jasin is the spokesman for the Council of Elders. I am sure he hasn’t forgotten you and might still have a bone to pick over your excessive purchase of the 25 vehicle number plates that cost PNB a whopping RM419,000 sometime in July last year.

I guess I do not need to remind you that you are a political appointee for the position you are in now. Do the needful to spare yourself from any humiliation that might befall you.

Regards,
*Don Diego de la Vega @ Zorro*
