KUALA LUMPUR: The vessel carrying actress and activist Ardell Aryana, the Mikeno, which is part of the Global South East Flotilla (GSF) mission, is believed to have been boarded by Israeli soldiers at approximately 6am this morning.
Ardell managed to start a live video session at around 6am this morning (local time) for a few minutes, revealing a distressing situation.
In the video, Ardell, whose real name is Nurul Hidayah Mohd Amin, can be heard chanting dhikr (remembrance of God) several times, accompanied by the voice of a man believed to be a Zionist soldier.
"We were tortured," said Ardell, who managed to conduct two short live broadcasts before the connection abruptly cut off.
Before the live sessions, Ardell had managed to update her Instagram Story to report that the Israeli army was attempting to sever all their internet lines.
"I'm trying to hide my phone. The Israeli army is cutting off all our internet lines… We're trying to connect offline.
"I'm just waiting for the opportunity to go live again. Pray for us and our friends," she wrote.
Earlier, Ardell also shared a message that the Israeli military had transmitted via radio signals to the other ships involved in the mission, which included a threat to imprison them.
There has been no further update from the activist as of yet.
