KUALA LUMPUR: The presence of actress and singer Bella Astillah at the Powerman Malaysia 2025 event at Dataran Putrajaya yesterday has once again sparked speculation about her relationship with Muar Member of Parliament, Syed Saddiq.
Bella, whose real name is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, 31, was spotted supporting Syed Saddiq as he participated in the competition.
She even shared several photos from the event on her Instagram account.
"Proud of someone who probably doesn't even realise how impressive he is! Congrats on a strong finish, so much respect for your discipline and dedication @syedsaddiq," she wrote.
What further caught the attention of netizens was when Syed Saddiq, whose real name is Syed Saddiq Syed Abd. Rahman, 32, left a comment thanking the mother of two for her unwavering support.
"Thanks for always being there for me. You're too kind. I'm indebted to you (so much)," he replied.
Many people began joking that the politician should marry Bella immediately if he truly wished to repay the kindness of the actress.
"If you're so grateful and indebted, just return the favour with marriage, YB," wrote one netizen.
"Flowers have been given. Bella is here too. All that's left is the dowry," another fan quipped.
"Please make it official. BASS till Jannah!" commented a fan, using a popular portmanteau of their names.
Bella and Syed Saddiq had previously appeared together in a local clothing brand campaign and collaborated on the music video for "Tapi Bukan Denganmu."
The phenomenon of this duo, known by the nickname 'BASS', has not only gone viral in Malaysia but has also garnered attention in South Korea.
Although they have never openly confirmed their relationship status, both families have given their blessings should there truly be a match between them.
