
Man killed, wife and three children injured in Shah Alam crash

SHAH ALAM: A 39-year-old man was killed while his wife and three children were seriously injured after their car crashed into an electricity pole at Persiaran Tengku Ampuan, Section 22, here today.
District Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Haspezal Andam said they received a distress call about the incident at 1.20pm.
He said a team of seven firefighters arrived at the scene eight minutes later.
"The accident involved a Proton Saga FLX that had crashed into an electricity pole. A 39-year-old man was trapped in the driver's seat and was rescued at 1.45pm," he said in a statement.
"However, the victim was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics and the body was later handed over to the police for further action."
Haspezal said the other four victims, a 38-year-old woman, two children aged 7 and 4, and a seven-month-old baby girl, sustained serious injuries.
"The injured were taken to the hospital by members of the public," he added.
