Two men killed in pre-dawn collision with factory bus in Muar

MUAR: Two men were killed after their car collided with a factory bus along Jalan Salleh-Bukit Pasir, here, early Wednesday morning.
The 6.18am fatal accident claimed the lives of Muhammad Nur Aiman Mohd Azharry, 21, and Amar Jazli Yusof, 26, who were found trapped in the mangled wreckage of their compact car.
There were 30 passengers in the bus, most factory workers. They were unharmed.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after firefighters from Muar rushed to extricate them using rescue tools.
Johor Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Mummat Fazli Mat Jinin said all 30 passengers in the bus and its driver had exited the vehicle safely before emergency teams arrived.
"The impact left the car severely crushed. We deployed hydraulic tools to free the victims, but they were already unresponsive and declared dead at the scene," he said.
The operation ended at 7.35am. The bodies were handed over to the police for further investigation.
