The Swiss Stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship is halfway done. After three days of intense matches, the first team to make it to the playoffs, along with the first to get eliminated, has been confirmed.

Alter Ego Defeats Yangon To Make It To The M7 Knockout Stage
Perhaps the biggest upset of the tournament so far has been Burmese team Yangon Galacticos upsetting Indonesiaβs first seed, ONIC, in round two of the Swiss Stage yesterday.
ONIC came into the match thinking it would be an easy game but it was outclassed by Yangon. However, Yangon subsequently faced Indonesiaβs other representative in Alter Ego today. This time, the team was not able to put together the same performance.
Alter Ego made easy work of the team, dominating both games one and two. This performance has propelled the team to become the first to make it to the M7 Knockout Stage.
The team is chasing Indonesiaβs first M World Championship crown since the M1 on home ground.

On the other side of the standings, Chinaβs DFYG became the first team to be eliminated. China is a returning entrant to the global MLBB esports scene, with the game launching in China in January 2025. Previously, there were Chinese representatives at both M6 and M5. As a result, the region is still developing in MLBB esports.
DFYG faced losses against Team Falcons and Evil on the first two days before the final nail in the coffin by CG Esports. CG was completely in control in its series against DFYG, securing the early game and map control in both match-ups.
The MLBB Swiss Stage will continue from 7 AM GMT onwards on January 13th. Fans can catch all the action live on the MLBB esports YouTube channel.
