DALLAS, June 24 — Few people have ridden the emotional rollercoaster of the 2026 Fifa World Cup quite like IShowSpeed.
In the space of little more than a week, the YouTube star watched Portugal surrender a late lead, endured Lionel Messi breaking a World Cup record, and even found himself staring at racks of Messi jerseys during a desperate post-match trip to Walmart.
But on Tuesday night, the internet’s most famous Cristiano Ronaldo superfan finally got the moment he had been waiting for.
As Ronaldo swept home his first goal of the tournament against Uzbekistan, Speed burst into tears on his livestream, sobbing as his football idol finally delivered the World Cup moment he’d been waiting for.
The viral clip, first shared by Fox Sports, showed the streamer wiping away tears before erupting once more when Ronaldo struck again later in Portugal’s Group K clash.
For Speed, it was more than just a goal.
Ronaldo had arrived at the tournament under scrutiny after Portugal’s frustrating 1-1 draw with DR Congo in their opener, a match in which several media outlets rated the 41-year-old among the team’s weakest performers.
Against Uzbekistan, however, Ronaldo reminded everyone why he remains football’s ultimate showman.
He opened his account for the tournament before adding a second later in the match, punctuating the night with his trademark “Siuuu” celebration.
Nobody enjoyed it more than Speed.
The streamer has emerged as one of the tournament’s most entertaining supporting characters, with his reactions becoming must-watch viewing for football fans online.
Last week, he experienced the full spectrum of emotions during Portugal’s opener. He leapt from his seat when João Neves gave Portugal the lead, only to watch in disbelief as Yoane Wissa scored a stoppage-time equaliser for DR Congo’s first-ever World Cup goal.
Then came Argentina’s clash with Austria.
A lifelong Ronaldo devotee, Speed could only watch as Messi recovered from an earlier penalty miss to score his record-breaking 17th World Cup goal. Videos from the stadium showed the streamer appearing frozen in disbelief before eventually leaving his seat.
His misery did not end there.
After heading to a nearby Walmart to clear his head, he reportedly found shelves lined with Messi shirts waiting for him.
Thankfully for the YouTube star, Ronaldo finally gave him something much better to remember.
