IPOH, July 29 — A 40-year-old local man died after allegedly attempting to break into a house in Taman Star, Ipoh, early Monday morning.
Perak police said the incident occurred at around 5am when two suspects allegedly entered the house through a window that had been forced open before a struggle broke out with the home's caretaker.
One of the suspects managed to escape, while the other was found unconscious at the scene and was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination determined that the man died from a blocked coronary artery.
Police have classified the case as a Sudden Death Report (SDR), while investigations into the alleged house break-in and voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon are continuing under the Penal Code.
Authorities are actively tracking down the second suspect and have urged anyone with information to contact the Ipoh District Police Headquarters or the nearest police station.
