CELEBRITY chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, better known as Chef Wan, has expressed his pride after discovering that his granddaughter, Isabella Saffiya, is representing Malaysia as a national football player.

Chef Wan took to Threads to congratulate Isabella and her team after Malaysia scored nine goals against Saudi Arabia in Indonesia.

Admitting that he is not a football fan and knows little about the sport, Chef Wan said he only learnt about his granddaughter’s achievement after receiving photos and media coverage from his family.

“My daughter Isabella Saffiya now is one of our national player football team representing our country. Just few days ago in Indonesia their team scored 9 goals against Arab Saudi according to my daughter Serina that sent me all this photos.

“As I am not a football fan i knew very little of the game. When Rina text me and Qamal sent me all this media write up baru lah saya tahu.
