Kuala Lumpur: "I constantly remind myself that this child was a gift from Allah, and He has every right to take him back," said Nur Farihah Meor Mazli.

Nur Farihah, 29, is the mother of seven-month-old Muammar Adli, who was found unconscious at a nursery in Taman Danau Kota, here, before being confirmed dead.

Police have began a probe into alleged negligence over the death. The tragedy happened on Monday.

The infant had been placed at the daycare since March.

Nur Farihah admitted that she has come to terms with the passing of her beloved son, but the grief still lingers, and she is still in the process of accepting the painful reality.

"I still remember the memories with Muammar. I just keep reminding myself that this child was a gift from Allah, and He has every right to take him back. A little baby is sinless. That's what comforts me," she said.

However, she said that as a mother, she hopes that the death of her beloved child will receive the justice it deserves.

She also hopes that the authorities will conduct a transparent investigation into the incident.

Muammar was found unconscious at a nursery. The child was later confirmed dead.

Wangsa Maju deputy police chief, Superintendent Syahrul Anuar Abdul Wahab, said that the incident is believed to have occurred between 9am and 11am.

"Police received a report regarding the incident from the victim's father at the Setapak Police Station at 1.26pm on the same day," he said.
