Ejen Ali, Kinohimitsu celebrate autism community through special screening

KUALA LUMPUR: The much-loved local animated film, Ejen Ali The Movie 2, continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering social inclusion when it appears in a special autism-friendly screening held at TGV Cinema, Sunway Putra Mall.
The programme is part of Primeworks Studios' corporate social responsibility efforts, which is also supported by renowned health brand, Kinohimitsu in collaboration with Sunway Putra Mall under the 'Autism is Awesome' or Autsome initiative.
The screening provided an opportunity for over 100 autistic individuals and their family members from the Autsome community to enjoy the experience of watching a movie in a safe, calm and sensory-friendly environment.
The initiative is in line with Ejen Ali's aspiration as a brand that not only has entertainment elements, but also brings positive messages and inclusive values to all levels of society.
Kinohimitsu, on the other hand, played a major role in supporting the continuity of the event through product donations and direct involvement in providing a fun experience.
200 souvenir bags containing Kinohimitsu products were also distributed to those present as a token of appreciation for their support.
Apart from the free screening of Ejen Ali The Movie 2 complete with popcorn and drinks, the event was also enlivened with sensory-friendly activities and special appearances by the Ejen Ali and Alicia mascots, as well as the presence of TV3 personalities.
According to a representative of Primeworks Studios, the collaboration is an important step towards making the local entertainment world more inclusive and sensitive to the needs of various groups.
Support from brands such as Kinohimitsu shows how the corporate sector can play an active role in spreading awareness and empowering various communities.
The Autsome program by Sunway Putra Mall has long been known as a platform that supports individuals on the autistic spectrum through various activities and awareness campaigns.
