SERDANG: Another video has surfaced showing a fight involving one of the men previously caught on camera in a brawl with a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter here.
Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the latest incident occurred on July 3.
"The two men in this video were charged on July 8 under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing an affray.
"If convicted, they could face a maximum of six months' imprisonment, a fine of up to RM1,000, or both," he said when contacted.
He added that both men pleaded not guilty and were released on bail of RM3,000 each.
"The next mention for this case is scheduled for Aug 6," he said.
The footage shows a group of people gathered around as two men exchange punches and kicks next to a car, believed to be within the grounds of an apartment complex in Serdang.
One of the men, dressed in a red and white t-shirt, is seen shouting before kicking another man who is holding a foldable ladder.
Yesterday, it was reported that one of the individuals involved in this altercation was also featured in a separate recent brawl that went viral.
However, police confirmed that the earlier incident had since been resolved amicably.
"Both parties lodged reports on July 10 and agreed to reconcile, so we have closed that case," Farid said.
In the earlier video, a man in a red sleeveless t-shirt and shorts is seen confronting another man in a black t-shirt and jeans. A woman attempts to intervene and diffuse the situation.
Towards the end of the clip, the two men are seen exchanging punches, with the man in the black t-shirt eventually being struck in the face and falling against a guard rail.
Farid urged the public to exercise courtesy and avoid taking the law into their own hands, warning that legal action will be taken against anyone who wilfully breaks the law.
