SPM results out today: Schools allowed to hold own ceremonies, says MOE

By Zanariah Abd Mutalib

KUALA LUMPUR: Schools may hold their own ceremonies for the release and distribution of the 2024 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results, which are being announced today, said the Education Ministry.

If such a ceremony is held, however, it must involve all candidates who sat for the SPM and not just a select few who achieved excellent results, it said.

"The ministry, celebrates all candidates who have worked hard and contributed to the school's overall performance.

"Schools may also set up appropriate booths to encourage SPM leavers to further their studies and obtain information on future career paths.

"Best wishes to all 2024 SPM candidates," the ministry said in a Facebook post last night.

The 2024 SPM results will be announced today, and a press conference will be held at the ministry in Putrajaya by the Education director-general Datuk Azman Adnan.

A total of 402,956 candidates registered for the examination, which was conducted at 3,337 examination centres nationwide.
